PermalinkThey sin against the Lord and pull out their theology to try and justify
themselves, adding insult to injury. "Oh, everyone is a sinner and
remains a sinner for their entire lives," they say.
They don't even know what sin is; they just want to be righteous in
their own belief. What is sin? It is hurting the Lord. That doesn't even
occur to them because they are not on the receiving end of it, so it is
dismissed with a little bit of convenient theology.
They look at the bible and don't see a thing because they make it all
about them.
For instance...
Mat_23:37 O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, thou that killest the prophets, and
stonest them which are sent unto thee, how often would I have gathered
thy children together, even as a hen gathereth her chickens under her
wings, and ye would not!
They'll write theology books about what all that means in the headspace
of doctrinal analyzing, but the only thing that really matters is hurt;
the Lord's hurt.
The rich young ruler walking away—hurt.
Before the cock crows, you will deny Me thrice—hurt.
Why do you say, "Show us the Father"—hurt?
Gen 3:8 And they heard the voice of the LORD God walking in the garden
in the cool of the day: and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the
presence of the LORD God amongst the trees of the garden.
Hurt.
And there are hundreds and hundreds, if not thousands, of examples I
could mention right through the bible of the Lord being hurt, wilfully
and deliberately.
All these sinner christians espousing and heralding their love for God
but where the rubber meets the road they don't give a shit about the
Lord because they continue on in their hurtful ways toward Him.
And the atheists look at them in contempt and say, "This is what
Christianity is?" NO IT IS NOT, NONE OF THE RELIGIONS ARE OF HIM; THEY
ARE ALL COUNTERFEIT.
And the irony is, both the sinner christians and the atheists are going
to learn what God is really like at the exact same moment.

God is God in all His Being. All the glory is His, for He is all glory.
Jesus is the everlasting Father, Jesus is God, Jesus is the Lord. John
10:30 I and Father are one. If you can't see that the Lord Jesus is the
everlasting Father you are not born again and can't see the Kingdom of God.
Colossians 2:9 For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.
Rom 5:8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were
YET sinners, Christ died for us.
Jeremiah 10:23 O LORD, I know that the way of man is not in himself: it
is not in man that walketh to direct his steps.
Psalms 53:1 The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. Corrupt
are they, and have done abominable iniquity: there is none that doeth good.
